01What services does Spartan Fluid Systems provide?
Spartan provides project management, project engineering, CAD, technical writing, lube oil and seal oil system engineering, hydraulic system engineering, BOM and procurement support, vendor-document review, third-party inspection support, quality checks, and witness-testing support.
02How does Spartan support projects through supplier execution?
Spartan develops and reviews engineering deliverables, coordinates technical information, supports procurement and quality activities, and works across customer-selected suppliers and fabricators to keep the engineering intent clear through delivery.
03Which standards does Spartan work with?
Current experience includes API 614 special-purpose and general-purpose lube oil systems, API 610, API 673, API 682 including Plan 54, ASME B31.1 and B31.3, and AWS D1.1 when invoked by a vendor fabrication scope. The applicable edition and project-specific requirements are confirmed for each engagement.

04What is LubeCalc Pro?
LubeCalc Pro is a premium mobile engineering calculator built for rotating equipment and fluid power engineers. It puts 47 professional calculators across 11 modules - lube oil systems, hydraulics, piping, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, seals, electrical, pneumatics, filtration, and more - in one app. Calculations run offline, results can be saved to projects, and professional PDF reports can be exported from the field.
05Is LubeCalc Pro available now?
Not yet. The iPhone and iPad version is currently in review through App Store Connect. Submission to Google Play is planned after the iOS review process. Store approval and launch timing remain under Apple and Google control.
06How does the three-day free trial work?
The planned launch offer gives new users full access to the calculators, reference data, and project features for three days. After the trial, a one-time purchase of $49.99 is planned to unlock the app permanently. Final store terms remain subject to app-store approval.
07Is this a subscription or a one-time purchase?
The planned offer is a one-time $49.99 purchase with no recurring subscription. Payment, refund handling, and the final purchase presentation will be managed through the applicable app store.
08How do I restore a purchase on a new device?
After release, open Settings inside the app and choose Restore Purchases. Purchase entitlement is tied to the Apple ID or Google account used for the original transaction and can be restored on a compatible device signed into that account.
09What calculators are included?
The app contains 47 calculators across 11 engineering modules: viscosity and oil analysis, piping and flow, pumps and lube systems, hydraulics, seals and API 682, heat transfer, pressure vessels, electrical and motors, pneumatics, filtration, and system wizards. It also includes reference data, unit conversion, project storage, and PDF export.
10Does the app work offline?
Yes. Calculations, reference tables, saved projects, and unit conversions are designed to work without an internet connection. Purchase validation is handled by the applicable app-store service.
11Can I switch between US Customary and SI units?
Yes. Calculators include unit controls, and the dedicated converter covers pressure, flow, temperature, length, force, power, torque, area, volume, mass, density, and viscosity.
12Can I export results as a PDF report?
Yes. Calculations can generate reports containing inputs, results, and engineering notes. Calculations can also be grouped by client, job, or equipment tag and exported as a compiled project report for submittals or file documentation.
13Does LubeCalc Pro replace detailed engineering analysis?
No. LubeCalc Pro is intended for preliminary engineering, field checks, equipment sizing, and engineering reference. Users must verify results against applicable standards, project specifications, company procedures, and professional engineering requirements.
14Which engineering standards and methods are referenced?
Calculation methods reference API 614 and 682, ASME Section VIII, ASME B31.3 and B36.10, ASME B16.5, ASTM D341 and ASTM D7152/Refutas, TEMA, Hydraulic Institute guidance, ISA 75.01, NEC Article 430, API 520, and published bearing-relubrication methodology where applicable.
15How have the calculations been checked?
The calculation engines are supported by automated tests, engineering audit records, published engineering data, and independent reference calculations. Results remain preliminary, and critical designs must always receive detailed engineering review.
16Who built LubeCalc Pro?
LubeCalc Pro is built by Spartan Lube Oil Systems LLC, a Michigan-based engineering company. It was designed around the work of engineers who size lube oil and fluid power systems professionally.
17What data does the app collect?
Spartan does not collect calculation inputs, projects, location, usage analytics, advertising identifiers, or personal profiles. RevenueCat and the app stores process anonymous purchase-validation information under their own policies.
18Is calculation data backed up?
Saved calculations and projects are stored locally on the device. Device-level backup services may include app data according to Apple or Google settings. Exporting important projects as PDFs provides an additional copy outside the app.
